A lot of beautiful women, more than any other Bondfilm, almost always at least one magnificent specimen on screen at any moment, and a new one introduced every ten minutes. Vesper is introduced as some sort of stockbroker, kinda sorta anticipating GreenVesper's job working for the Treasury in the remake. Is this Vesper maybe actually Rita, the parachutist character from What's New Pussycat? That character was identified as a "close personal friend of James Bond", which would fit in with this films continuity where she is indeed a friend of NivenBond. The original Bondgirl returns, albeit playing a different character, and not Fleming's Vesper Lynd either. Some very good actors this movie, dozens and dozens, but a few of them shall end up in the CON category. McTarry Castle, the Berlin scenes, the villain's headquarters beneath the Casino are all incredible sets. Incredible set design, costumes, and general visual aesthetic. Animated credits are pretty good too, to the toon of Alpert's music. Classic poster and promotional artwork by Robert McGinnis. If the film were edited down to just the scene where the song plays through, it'd be a much better movie. One of the sexiest songs ever recorded, and arguably better than any BondSongs Barry ever wrote. After several tease, the song is played in full once Peter Sellers is introduced. The Look of Love: when the song is first teased (about 45 minutes in when Ursula Andress first appears), it looks as if a good film is about to break through. Burt Bacharach, Dusty Springfield and Herb Alpert's music.

If you didn’t get a pre-arrival email asking you to opt-in, just let the front desk know when you check-in. You still can request additional towels or other amenities, but your bathroom will not be cleaned, bed made, etc. ■ If you opt out of housekeeping services during your stay (minimum two-night stay), Harrah's will credit your account wit 1,000 Reward Credits per stay. The Laurel Lounge at Harrah's is pathetic! ■ I'd rather pay $8 or $9 for a drink at the Vertigo Bar on the 12th floor and get a "real" cocktail with a nice view and atmosphere. ■ If you have leftover cocktails or wine you ordered at the buffet or 360 Steakhouse, you can take them to your room, but not into the casino. If you need transportation, contact a host. ■ Harrah’s no longer offers complimentary shuttle service from and to the airport in Omaha. This casino is equipped with Caesars proprietary Total Touch system that allows customers to order drinks, redeem free play, check their Caesars Rewards account balances, and receive real-time offers based on play. but a tunomatic has those sharply-angled saddles which can also snag the string. IMO the tunomatic isn't a good idea because most tuning problems are from the string snagging-usually on the nut. i have a graphite nut, locking tuners, and a roller bridge on my Bigsbied guitar and have no tuning problems. it has to guide the strings but give them room and smoothness to glide back and forth. Tuning problems in my experience are not from the Bigsby but from other hardware-ESPECIALLY the nut. IMO it's no huge sustain loss and like you say the trapeze style probably is better for a ringing sound. I've not added one to a Casino but in generall Bigsbys are known to shorten sustain a bit. Does the Bigsby dampen the tone at all? Thanks for any help in advance! The trapeze bridge does not rest on the top, and it seems to me that would add to it's woody warmth & ringing acoustic tone. One thing that makes me hesitant about adding the Bigsby is wether or not it will change the sound due to it being top mounted. I am considering adding a Bigsby as it would be useful to me, but I also love the "Lennon look". I just got a new Epiphone Casino in natural, and love it's sound, playablility, & looks. Minimums were increases to $25 at around 5-6 pm while I was playing. Saturday afternoon at FW: much more availability. I was with a group so just stuck to straight basic strategy. That definitely contributed to the space scarcity. They implemented this during COVID and never reversed it. MS has a 3 player maximum at every table (so basically only half the seats are open). None were too crowded.įriday night at MS (around midnight): most tables were $25-50 and packed. There was one $50 table open and then a couple $100 ones. MS and FW main floors were 8 deck H17, $15-$25 min, 3:2, DAS, late surrender, no RSA.įW high limit Pequot casino was same, but 6 deck S17. I was at MS Friday and FW Saturday - Sunday morning. Adding a field report from last weekend’s trip there:īoth FW and MS had the same rules as far as I could see. |
